Blind Rivet

A Blind Rivet, photographed for identification practice

HOW TO RECOGNISE IT

A blind rivet, also called a pop rivet, is identified by the thin mandrel running through its center, which is pulled until it snaps off after drawing the rivet's back end into a bulge. It only needs access to one side of the workpiece, unlike a solid rivet which must be hammered from both sides.
