Nitrile (Buna-N) O-rings are typically identified by their standard black color and their excellent resistance to petroleum-based oils and fuels. They are generally distinguished from other materials by their moderate temperature range and lack of specialty chemical resistance markers found in silicone or fluorocarbon alternatives.
